We have been carrying out horsebox manufacturing for over 30 years, as part of the company ‘Alloy Bodies Ltd’ in Manchester. Recently we have began focusing on high quality, lightweight and affordable 3.5t horsebox conversions, more commonly on Renault Master or Vauxhall Movano chassis but we can offer conversions on other chassis makes and models. We offer new conversions on new or used chassis which allows us to offer a great product to suit each customers budget. We have regular stock of carefully sourced used chassis for conversion and our policy is we won't build on used vehicles in a poor condition.

Who buys our horseboxes?

The typical profile of an Equine Concepts customer is usually a female, aged 30-65 years old. We are however receiving increased interest from those who passed their driving test post 1997, and looking to drive a horsebox on a car licence without taking further tests. In addition to this, people are becoming far more fuel conscious these days and smaller vehicles represent a cost effective transportation method and both handling and maneouverability are key advantages at 3.5t.

Design

Equine Concepts & Conversions through Alloy Bodies Ltd has been at the forefront of vehicle body design and manufacture since 1969. We have used this knowledge to create our Signature Range of 3.5T horseboxes. We use the latest innovations to keep the payload legal, source the best components for durability, strength and an attractive appearance. Also our build design provides impressive internal height for horses, yet still with a stable ride. Throughout our design process we have constantly had equestrian specific input, with our horseboxes being tried and tested in many situations. The result of this has been a progressive improvement to arrive at the product we manufacture today and we continue to look at ways to improve our range further.
